In order to receive the early bird bonus I paid the league renewal fee in early May for the 2013/2014 season. The league fee was again $149.99 ($30 cheaper by renewing early), which is about €117 at today's exchange rate.
Thomas' championship trophy came in at €18.47, which left us with a surplus of about €20.98*.
12* €12 league fee = €144
€144 - €117 league renewal fee = ~€27
€27 remaining money + ~€21 2012/2013 surplus = ~€48
€48 - €25 estimated 2013/2014 trophy costs = ~€23
That being said, this year's fee will remain at €12 per team, leaving us with a little over €23 of an estimated surplus for the following season.
