Wäre eigentlich nach der Rookie-Draft und vor der Keeper-Bekanntgabe das Traden eines Rookies gegen einen Veteran möglich?

Normalerweise hat man doch nach der Keeper-Bekanntgabe 2 Rookies und 4 Veterans. Wenn ich jetzt in einem Trade einen Veteran weggebe und einen Rookie erhalte, habe ich dann 3 Rookies und weiterhin 4 Keeper? Oder ist der Trade-Rookie beim Keepern wie ein Veteran zu behandeln?

verstehe die Frage nicht ganz. Du keeperst maximal vier Spieler, einer davon muss Rookie des letzten Jahres sein. Dazu hast Du noch die beiden Rookies, die wir jetzt gerade draften (also diesjährige Rookies).

We're allowed to keep 4 veterans (one must be a second year player...we should stop saying "rookie keeper"). If we were to trade one of our excess veterans for a rookie, is it possible to keep 3 rookies AND 4 veterans?

Another question belonging to this scenario is: When I have only 1 rookie because my 2nd rookie pick was traded away, may 1 keep 1 Rookie AND 5 veterans?

OK, now I understand. No, this is not allowed. The reason is that we have a maximum of four veterans to keep and all other players went into the player pool to be drafted at our veteran draft. There are only a couple of "this year rookies" with a possible big impact in the following season. I would say the second round rookie picks are like gambling. For this reason it would be easier to keep one veteran more instead of this rookie but if any team makes it, there were only a few good players in the pool for the veteran draft.
Is it understandable?

Ich habe auf ein Tradeangebot (Mitte April) keine Rückmeldung bekommen und eigentlich könnte ich jetzt in der Rookiedraft auswählen, weil die 24 Stunden seit dem letzten Pick vorbei sind.

Ich spiele mit ihm zusammen in einer Fantasy Baseball Liga und da war er heute aktiv. Kann ihn dort mal anschreiben, falls dies erwünscht ist.
