Auch von mir WELCOME!

PS: So läuft das aber nicht immer, manche traden auch seriös!

Uwe and I have decided to implement a new rule in an effort to create another layer of commitment when an owner decides to trade their future draft picks. We feel that an owner who is trading away one or more of their future draft picks must pay the league fee in advance for the affected season(s). From my research this type of enforcement is relatively common place, but generally we agreed that it is a simple layer of commitment we can add to our league to protect from unfair behavior, either intentional or unintentional.

For example, during this past 2015/2016 season the following trade occurred:
Zitat:Berlin Cowboys receive:
A.J. Green WR CIN

Wiener Schnitzels receive:
DeVante Parker WR MIA
1st round rookie draft pick (2016)
1st round rookie draft pick (2017)

In this situation Rene traded a draft pick from the next two rookie drafts. With the new rule this trade will require Rene to pay the league fee for those two affected seasons in advance.

The goal of this additional rule is to ensure teams remain committed to the future of their team and maintain fairness within the league. We hope that this would help dissuade anyone from trading away future picks and then leaving the league, thus intentionally putting their abandoned team in a very bad situation for the replacement owner. This new rule should help deter teams from making decisions which might imbalance the league.

If you have any questions or need clarity please let me know, meanwhile we will update the rules with this new rule (in German for clarity) and I will personally contact all owners who are impacted by this rule for the 2017 season.
I have created a Doodle to help find a date and time for the 2016 Veteran Draft. Please update it with your availability: http://doodle.com/poll/mt4c2qh4dy3zx4am
I have added the rule to our league rules.

It will affect Chucky, Peter and me for our recent trades - I will send personal messages to each affected owners.

Sorry nochmal.

Hi, Players!

Someone hat the idea to award a new title - the Bench-of-the-Week.

I'd suggest to give this BotW - award to the Warriors, even though week one is not over yet. ;-)
1 game - 2 players - 74 points on the bench!!
(I think they could apply for the bench-of-the-season award right away)

Good idea :-)
I don't where I should put this, so I try it here...

I would like it, if we can make poll in the Offseason, about giving RB's points per reception, like WR and TE. I think it makes no sense, that a player get not the same points for the same thing. If someone Make a TD it's 6 points. Doesn't matter which position. And when a RB catches a Ball, he should also earn 0.5 points like a WR/TE.
I started a new thread for discussions, we don't tend to discuss so often anymore so the past two seasons we didn't NEED a thread Big Grin

Today a rule/acquisition policy was changed in the engine with regards to when the Add/Drop Deadline is starting each week. The rule was changed from "Five minutes before first game on Sunday" to "Five minutes before game time for each player".

The reasoning for changing the rule with immediate effect was that both Uwe and I felt the first policy simply didn't make sense and the new policy was the most logical choice. The old policy restricted roster flexibility and didn't allow owners to have the time to adjust their roster due to last minute injuries. The new policy gives owners greater flexibility to make last minute adds/drops to and utilize the waiver wire longer into the game week. This was a logical change that we felt would serve more good than harm if activated immediately.

This setting issue was noticed during today's (Dec. 10) games. When recognizing a problematic situation for the Berlin Bashers roster, whereby the starting TE (Z. Ertz) was ruled out due to injury and Tom had no TE on his bench, due to our old policy he was unable to make any waiver wire acquisitions to provide a replacement and maintain a competitive lineup against his playoff opponent. Since his opponent was my team, I felt it was only fair to discuss this change immediately with Uwe and we both agreed to allow for a rule change in this exceptional situation. As commissioner I think it's fair, and as the opposing owner I preferred to lose to a full lineup than win because of this illogical policy.

I welcome any feedback on this impromptu and exception rule change.
