NFL Network's Jason La Canfora is reporting that Frank Gore will miss the remainder of the season with a fractured right hip.
This one comes out of nowhere, as Gore was able to return to the game for a carry before leaving for good and coach Mike Singletary gave no indication in his post-game presser that the injury was serious. Gore reportedly did not receive X-rays when he first went to the locker room, but felt pain after his first carry back. The injury is being called a non-displaced fracture, and while the team has yet to release an official timetable, Gore can safely be cut in non-keeper leagues. This news further solidifies Brian Westbrook's spot atop the waiver wire. Touchdown heavy leaguers should consider adding Anthony Dixon as well.
So eine Shice! auer:auer:auer:
