thats right, you can trade as many picks as you want. There is no need to pick a rookie and the only limit is the 18 spots roster after the veteran draft. This trade is legal.

There is still the need for a rookie keeper but one can be obtained via trade or from WW.

I thought we determined earlier that the rookie couldn't be claimed off the WW. Somebody claimed Jammal Charles and had to reverse the acquisition.

The WW picks are not allowed during off-season.
When the season starts, after the final cut to 16 players. WW picks are allowed.

You can go into the season without any rookie on the roster, but you have to have one as your rookie keeper. You can trade for one or claim him from the WW as long as the season is going on (until SB weekend).
