ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Braylon Edwards has been traded to the Jets.
FoxSports' Jay Glazer reports WR Chansi Stuckey, LB Jason Trusnick, and two draft picks are heading back to the Browns.
The town wasn't big enough for Edwards and LeBron James, so the Jets struck while the iron was hot. Along with Edwards' recent incident with a Cleveland nightclub performer, it was also believed that most of the leaks involving complaints about coach Eric Mangini were courtesy of the disgruntled receiver. In the long-term, the deal should help rehab Edwards' value while draining Jerricho Cotchery's. With the Jets run-oriented offense, both receivers will likely stay in the WR2/3 range.
