I prefer the flex spot, because I think the RB pool is too shallow for a mandatory 3 RB system in a 12 team league.
The waiver wire is already ridiculously weak at RB, I cannot imagine the garbage that would be there for desparate owners. 3 per team would mean 36 starting RBs (Mark Ingram was #36 last season averaging 5.9 points per game), plus at least 2 bench players for bye/injury depth for a total of 60 RBs on our rosters.
As soon as an injury and bye week hits your roster simultaneously and you're forced to start a guy like James Casey (#59 RB last season averaging 3.8 points per game, although he's technically a FB/TE), I think you'll hate having a 3 RB system.
