Updating an earlier story, ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Tice said this weekend he doesn't plan to let free agent QB Neil O'Donnell (Titans) to leave the team complex next Tuesday until he signs him as the new backup and mentor for QB Daunte Culpepper. According to Len Pasquarelli of ESPN.com, if WR Eric Crouch wants to return to the NFL in 2003, after "retiring" last season, it most likely will have to be with the team that drafted him, the St. Louis Rams. Rams coach Mike Martz said Saturday the Rams would welcome Crouch back to camp, but added that there are no plans to relinquish his rights to another franchise, for now. "I wanted him to give it a year and see where he was with it. I mean, it wasn't going to happen overnight. But he was anxious about it and didn't want to stick with it. I still think he could be a good wide receiver in this league," said Martz.

ein paar news von non-fantasy-players:

According to Len Pasquarelli of ESPN.com, Seattle Seahawks CB Shawn Springs would like to be traded. He will push hard for a resolution this spring. He is unhappy he is still playing under his original contract, a deal never restructured by the Seahawks, and feels a change of scenery might revive his career.

According to Len Pasquarelli of ESPN.com, a team, maybe one right in their own division, attempts to sign free agent DT Cletidus Hunt (Packers) to an offer sheet the Packers will find difficult to match. Hunt has been in the NFL substance abuse program twice, thus any team who signs Hunt to a long-term deal, the Packers or some other team, will have to protect itself against the possibility that one more misstep could land Hunt a season-long suspension. What that means is the signing bonus will likely be paid out over two or three years, to allow the team that gets Hunt some recourse to recover its money if he stumbles off the field.

Updating an ongoing story, Len Pasquarelli reports for ESPN.com the following teams are expected to pursue free agent OT Orlando Brown: Minnesota, Baltimore, Cleveland, San Diego, St. Louis and Tampa Bay.
